Text Toolkit

About Text Toolkit

Text Toolkit is a small collection of browser-based text utilities: a Markdown converter, a word counter, a case converter, a diff checker, and others, built and maintained by Joe Koppin, a software engineer. It started from a simple annoyance: needing one of these tools mid-task, several times a week, and being tired of ad-choked pages that take five seconds to load a text box.

Every tool here runs entirely client-side. No accounts, no backend processing your input, no database. That's not a marketing claim, it's a consequence of what this site actually is: a static export with no server-side application logic at all. What you paste into a tool is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and goes nowhere else. See the Privacy Policy for the specifics.

Beyond the tools themselves, the Guides section covers the formats and conventions the tools work with in more depth: how Markdown parsing actually works, why word counts vary between tools, where Lorem Ipsum comes from, that kind of thing, for when a quick tool run isn't enough and you want the underlying explanation.

Text Toolkit is part of the Ten Eleven family of free, no-signup web tools. The site is free to use and ad-supported. If a tool saved you time, a coffee is always appreciated but never required. Questions, bug reports, or a tool you'd like to see added can go to privacy@texttoolkitonline.com.
